A 2WD Traxxas Slash
Summary[]
The Traxxas Slash is a 1/10th scale stadium truck made by Traxxas. While relatively simple, the Slash would prove to be a highly versatile and easy to learn platform and Traxxas capitalized on this with multiple variants of the Slash design. Some of these variants would even let you choose whether you wanted electric or nitro power.
Variants[]
2WD[]
One of two common bases for all Slash based products. A good chunk of hobbyists got their start with this base and associated variants.
Kit[]
Unassembled kit
Meant for the builders, this Slash came with everything needed to built it yourself.
Brushed[]
This variant comes packaged with a Titan® 12-turn 550 motor, XL-5™ waterproof electronic speed control, and a Brushless-ready metal gear Magnum 272™ transmission.
Brushless[]
This version came packaged with Traxxas' new BL-2s Power System and clipless body mounting.
Nitro[]
Under the hood of a Nitro Slash
The Nitro Slash came equipped with an Extreme Power TRX 3.3 Racing Engine with EZ-Start® electric starting, high-flow dual-stage air filter, and a large capacity 150cc fuel tank.
VXL[]
This Slash came packaged with the Velineon® brushless power system.
Drag Slash[]
The Drag Slash came with an alternate canopy and several optimizations for speed.
Modified[]
The Modified is the latest Slash and this one is a powerhouse on dirt ovals.
Late Model[]
The Late Model is the latest Slash and this one is a powerhouse on dirt ovals.
4WD[]
The other common base for all Slash based products.
Brushless[]
The most common 4x4 Slash. It came with the BL-2s Power System, extreme heavy duty upgrade kit, and clipless body mounting.
1/16 4x4[]
A rather unusual Slash, this was a smaller scale Slash equipped with an XL-2.5™ electronic speed control and Titan® 12T 550 motor.
VXL[]
This Slash came packaged with the Velineon® brushless power system.
4x4 Ultimate[]
This Slash came with highly optimized aluminum parts for maximum durability.
Maxx Slash[]
This Slash came in 1/8th scale and was heavily kitted out for 6S power.
